The 3 Proven Factors That
Predict Your Online Success
By Dmitry Nanev
Forget
about all the hype they tell you about!
There is only one truth - there are only three factors
that have proved to predict your success or failure
if you don't follow them strictly!
So now I am going to reveal you these three factors.
Actually they are not any fancy "secrets"
they are rather forgotten or undervalued.
One more note before we begin - these three factors
are equal and form an entity. So we can't say which
one is more important and which isn't! They just won't
work if one factor is missing. That's why be sure to
fulfill all of them or the system won't work.
Proven Success Factor #1 - Targeted
Traffic
That's right - first of all you should drive people
to your site. But not just anyone - only your potential
customers, the people you think might buy from you because
your product is just for them.
Here is an example of how bad-targeted traffic could
ruin your online business. And how narrow-targeted i.e.
good-targeted traffic could make you a small fortune.
John has a site, which (for example) sells ONLY mouse
pads. Yes, that's right - you can buy almost any type:
with a picture, without, green, red, blue, 3D, etc.
You simply choose a background, text (if you want) and
voila - John makes it for you and sends it. A perfect
site for personalized mouse pads, isn't it? He can even
put your
name at the pad - wont'n you like to see your name every
time you use your mouse?
Well John has done his homework very well - he has
a well-targeted site and knows exactly who his customers
might be - people with a Desktop PC.
But what John did wrong was to advertise his site on
almost every available site. He even advertised it at
freebie sites although he doesn'y offer any of his mouse
pads for free.
So most (99.9%) of his visitors didn't buy anything.
After just three months John failed and sold his web
site to Mark (not Mark Joyner - just Mark :-).
What Mark did differently was to advertise his new
mouse pad web business only at other US-based web sites
that were targeted towards PC users, Desktop PC users
(made several JVs), PC magazines (he even sent a PR
to one). He also tried to advertise his product at a
PC Game site. He offered a background with a game that
was HOT at the time.
And guess what - he achieved success just because he
put his advertising efforts towards people that he was
sure are his potential buyers. Eventually Mark used
a little bit imagination when things got stable and
tried to suit his product to another audience - bravo
Mark.
"Well what's the difference between John and Mark?",
you ask.
It's simple - John drove anyone to his site while Mark
got only people who needed this product, not just because
they had a PC but because they searched for some more
PC stuff and this mouse pad could be just a great gift
for your new PC or scanner.
Proven Success Factor #3 - Good
Sales Copy
When Mark started he had only a 2% visitors to buyers
ratio. After a while when he earned a few thousand bucks
he decided to do something about it and hired a copywriter.
After making a good sales copy he achieved a greater
conversion ratio of 10% Now he was selling to every
10th of his visitors.
The secret here is that traffic by itself is useless
- you must sell your visitors even if it's your free
ezine. No one buys because he needs it but because he
wants it so you must convince your visitor that he wants
your product.
Well if you can't write a good sales copy you can always
read a free ebook, a free article, etc. Visit my Free
Tips section at: http://profit-position.com/free_tips.htm
and read some of my articles on headline and sales copy
writing. These are just basic tips but you should start
with basic stuff and then further develop your knowledge
and skills.
Another good opportunity is to give Yanik Silever's
"Instant Sales Letter Templates" a try. I
personally recommend you to start with this tool - it's
easy, quick and educating. All you have to do there
is simply insert a few benefits of your product and
your profit-boosting sales
letter is ready :-) To learn more about this tool go

Proven Success Factor #2 - Follow-up
with every customer
and visitor.
Did you know that 80% of your profits will come from
20% of
your customers?
Did you know that the most common mistakes most companies
do is to invest in new customers (in searching for them)
rather than investing in existing ones?
Did you know that a visitor must visit your site, on
average, seven times before he/she will buy.
Well in both cases you must somehow contact your customers
and visitors again and again until they buy or tell
you to stop.
This way in the Internet business is called Email Follow-up
Marketing. What you do is simply contact your visitors
and customers via email on regular basis until they
unsubscribe i.e. tell you to stop.
By regularly contacting them you will be able to:
A. Tell them more about your product
B. Tell them more about your other products
C. Make them respect you
D. Trust you
Sincerely,
Dmitry Nanev
